Charleston Baptist Church is a "singing" church, and music plays a big part in all of our activities here.  We invite you and your family to "join in" and sing with us.  You may want to join a choir and participate regularly (we'd like that very much!), or you may just want to "make a joyful noise unto the Lord" in the congregation.  We would love for you to find your place in the music ministry and sing, SING, SING! 

SANCTUARY CHOIR

Our Sanctuary Choir, composed of adults 18 years up, meets every Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. in the Choir Room in Harmony Hall.  It is not necessary that you read music; we have many who do not.  We learn some fundamentals of music as we rehearse each week.  During the year we offer a class in basic music theory for choir members and others who want to learn more.  This choir is a most congenial group of people who simply love to sing, and love to praise the Lord through the medium of music.  Come visit a rehearsal and consider becoming a part of this group.  Talk to any choir member or call the church office for answers to questions you may have.

CHILDREN'S and PRESCHOOL CHOIRS
September through May

Charleston Baptist Church has a children's choir called the "Creation Praisin' Club".  It is designed for children ages 3 through 5th grade!  We have capable and dedicated leadership working in each group, and we hope you will encourage your children to participate.  We can always use more adult leadership, too, if you have an interest in children's music.  Come be a part of the "Creation Praisin' Club" each Sunday at 6:15 p.m.   Click on the link below for additional relevant information.

The Power of Music in the Spiritual Developement of Children

               YOUTH CREATIVE ARTS MINISTRY TEAM

The Creative Arts Ministry Team includes youth from 6th through 12th grades.  Creative arts include music, drama, puppetry, magic, etc.  All are designed to encourage youth to use their talents to minister to the church and community.  All youth are encouraged to visit a rehearsal on Sunday afternoon at 5:00 p.m.

                                           CROSS PLAYERS

The Cross Players are a group of adults committed to evangelism and discipleship through the dramatic arts.  This team is directed by Chris and Tammy Davis.  Cross Players also take part in our Contemporary Services.  Any adult desiring to share their talents through dramatic arts is encouraged to attend a rehearsal.

PRAISE TEAM AND BAND

Charleston Baptist Church's Praise Team leads in worship during our 9:30 a.m. Contemporary Service.  The team is made up of adults and includes singers and band members committed to praising our Lord through music.  Rehearsals are Monday nights at 6:00 p.m. for instrumentalists and Wednesday nights at 8:30 p.m. for everyone.  Admission to this group is by audition.

ORCHESTRA

Our orchestra assists in worship and praise to our Lord. This group is open to all interested instrumentalists.  Come visit a rehearsal and help us "make a joyful noise" to our Savior.
