The congregation of First Baptist Church gathered on the new property on a Sunday afternoon in March 2003 for a time of worship and to participate in a formal groundbreaking ceremony. The first blade of dirt was turned by Steve Hogg (Pastor), Jim Davis (Long Range Planning Committee Chairman), and Bert Platt (Deacon Chairman).
