The Music Ministry of Grace Baptist Church
OUR CORE VALUE...Being created in the image of God, we, therefore, enhance worship through excellence in music.

OUR PRINCIPLES...Sharing our beliefs, strengthening our faith, and involving people.

Through the variety of musical groups it is our sincere desire to enable people to use their musical gifts in service of Jesus Christ.  By the means of equipping and encouraging, it is our hope that those who participate in the music ministry will be empowered with the gospel of Jesus Christ and will impact  their world.

“Let the word of God dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, sing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”  Colossians 3:16

Music Ministry Opportunities
Preschool and Children’s Choirs meet each Wednesday at 5:15 PM.  The choirs are divided by age groupings: Preschool Choir (3 year old—grade 1) and Young Musicians (grades 2-5).  The children perform at least three times during the year (December, May and August).  Every summer the Music Makers and Young Musicians combine to form the Summer Singers Choir to perform a children’s choir musical.

The Youth Choir, One Voice, meets each Sunday afternoon, 5:15 PM.  They sing each Sunday during the Evening Worship Service.  The choir consists of students from middle and high school.  The choir continues to be involved in mission trips and youth musicals.

Adult Choir…
The Sanctuary Choir meets each Wednesday at 7:30 PM.  They prepare each week for the upcoming worship service.  The choir has several music projects for the year.  The choir performs in costume  with a full cast of actors and actresses for its Easter Pageant.  The choir is accompanied by an orchestra.   The choir’s second project is the Advent service, “Festival of Lessons and Carols.”  The service consists of selected songs and scripture readings that tell the story of Jesus’ birth.

The adult ensemble, Heart and Voice, is a selected vocal group that sings in worship and provides special music for other worship events in our church.  They perform contemporary praise music and sometimes accompanied by the instrumental group, Praise Him.

The Men’s Ensemble is another selected group of  men who sing in worship.  They enjoy doing gospel songs a cappella.
Other groupings are put together for  worship services and special events.

Chime and handbell choirs for children meet on Wednesday.  We offer chime ringing for our younger children (1-2 grade), Harmony Bells, and handbells for our older children (3-5 grade), Joy Bells. Handbell choirs for Youth, Jubilant Ringers, and Adults, King’s Ringers, enjoy ringing four octaves of Malmark Handbells.  Festival events as well as playing in worship services are some of the special opportunities for handbell ringing.

Praise Band meets each Sunday, 9:00 AM to play in the worship service.  The group consists of woodwind, brass, percussion players.  The band accompanies the hymn singing as well as other service music.
